Q&A

Question #1: how young is too young to start?

My daughter is 8 years old, but I have noticed that she is starting to get blackheads on her nose and chin. How young is too young to start using something like Proactive? I have given her facial soaps to use, but it just doesn't seem to be working. If I start her in the habit now of doing it and caring properly for her skin, will it make her do it better when she is older? If I start letting her use this kind of thing now, do you think it will ward off those horrible "puberty" breakouts??

Question #2: Facial Skin Care Tips?

So i recently purchase a 3 pack facial kit by the brand of clean & clear!
its working but i really want to get my face looking really good, what other extra things can i do, without negative effects! Im a guy btw i might not know all ya chick terms!

Question #3: Is this a good procedure for skin care? Any more to add?

My French Teacher gave us a procedure (shes make up artist for our play) and it said that
1. Put on any facial soap
2. Put the scrub on of: Honey + sugar or salt OR Olive Oil + sugar or salt
3. Put on lotion
4. Spf

Is this a good procedure? I wasn't really paying attention when she told us this. Is there anything esle? My face doesn't have anything on, but it's a procedure to keep our faces clean so that the make up will look good on the say of the play. Any thing else to add? I'm twelve, so I don;t have pimples or anything. Any help will be usefu! :)

Question #4: Very sensitive skin, need advice.?

I have very sensitive skin, Im wanting tips from others on how to take care of my skin properly to make it smoother. Right now when I get out of the shower, I have dry patches of skin spread out on my face and body. Ive tried using different soaps and though some are much better for me than others, they all still do the same thing. Ive tried using different temperature when showering, no luck either. Ive used wash rags, loofahs, the sponge thing and using just my hands. Nothing works so far. And what happens is when I use lotions, it dries up in my facial hair and flakes off and it looks like dandruff all over my shirt.

My hair and scalp are fine, I use baby shampoo because it honestly does the best for me. Its actually when I use conditioners that my hair gets real poofy and my scalp gets real itchy. I thought about trying to take showers at night instead of in the morning, but what would I do about my hair, if I dont wash my hair in the morning, and I just wetten it, it looks like crap.

So anyone, especially the ladies since you care the most about your skin, what can I do here? I want smooth skin because nobody wants to see or feel dry patchy skin. I dont want to shave my goatee off, and I like having like a little bit of hair everywhere else on my face. So what can I do, are there pills I can take, I tried the Hair, Skin and Nails, nothing happened honestly. I know I need to start drinking alot of water over cokes and beer, but what else?
Also scented soaps is what really dries my skin out. And for some reason baby soap and lotion makes my skin oily and itchy. Even when Ive only been able to take a quick shower where the only thing I washed was my boys, I still had dry skin when I got out of the shower.

Also I only have dry patchy skin on my chest, upper back, upper arms and face. No where else.

Question #5: What is the best facial care for dark skin black men?

He really do not break out much. Just really want to find a toner and something to help with razor bumbs

Question #6: i want to start looking great on my face. i want to have a clear, smooth skin.?

i didn't care about my face before. i don't have a lot of pimples. my face is a lil bit oily but i just put powder on it and that's it. i get few pimples before my monthly period though and they leave blemish on my skin sometimes.

recently, i purchased some facial products and this has been my routine for a week now:
Monday/Wednesday/Friday mornings
-St. Ives Timeless Skin Apricot Scrub
-Cetaphil skin cleanser
-St. Ives Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer

Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday/Sunday mornings
-Neutrogena Deep Cleanser
-St. Ives Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer

everynight:
-Cetaphil skin cleanser
-St. Ives Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer

Am i doing a right thing?
What can you recommend? Thanks.

Question #7: what skin care product should i use?

I'm 15 and Asian-Malaysian tht is.
I use Herbaline for almost 3 years and i got to say it doesn't really work for me.Though I love to get facial treatment there!
My skin type :

-un-even skin tone
-dry and oily?my beautician said i have dry skin but when i get home from school my face is really oily on the forehead..she said it's because asian skin type
-many tiny pimples on the forehead
-many whiteheads and blackhead on the nose
-slightly pimples scars on the cheeck and forehead

I thinking of changing products cause Herbaline costs a little bit expensive but my mom dosen't really care abt the price. But I really hate it when I have to apply 4 to 6 things in the morning. As in results I have to get early so tht I won't get late to school.

I need good, less expensive, easy to get products especially in Malaysia.
I did some resaerches about Proactiv ...but I think I shldn't use it since it would make face dry..
oh n btw,I really100x want to have flawless face like Korean artist!!!!
HELP ME!!

Question #8: Is My Skin Care Routine Good Or Bad?

Hi! (So, I have an oily T-zone, My cheeks are plain (No Pimples) and I have some small pimples on my chin too (I dont know what you call them, cuz they r not exactly pimples, they r from acne. my acne, is not really that bad, but I've been told that its deep and hard to cleanse when I went to try a facial cleanser in a salon/spa (0-0) and I got this huge purple mark on my noise after doing the ''Facial'' it went off now, though )

And Im 13, I never really cared for my skin till now...

So, I Wake up and use Pond's Perfect Matte Oil control cleansing Foam (Deep cleanses to help prevent oil-related problems with anti-oil bio5), Then use a toner, which is Pond's Perfect Matte Control & Refine Toner (Deep pore cleansing for refreshed and purified matte skin with zinc minerals and royal jelly extract), then I use Pond's Flawless White Visible Lightening Day Cream as moisturizer. In the night, I use the same but instead of Pond's Flawless White cream, I use Pond's Pefect matte Oil Control Lotion (Since I cant get the Pond's Flawless White Night Cream for now)

So, is this good, and if not, why? And should I keep using the Pond's Perfect Matte Oil Control Lotion instead if Pond's Flawless White day/night creams?

I like pond's and I think its working, I was thinking of buying Laneige, so does any of you know which is better? Laneige or Pond's?

=D Thanks
Am I really putting too much? Cuz I thought, that a normal routine should consist of Cleanser, A toner, and a mosturizer? So... What am I doing wrong?

Question #9: Why are men afraid of women?

Last night I was washing my face, I left some face wash behind and he said, "you have some of that, that stuff on your face." I told him it was just face wash, does he not wash his face? I used to work fora skin care company and men always wanted to stop and have me give them facials but when they did they all acted like they had to play dumb around the "girly" stuff. Men have a hard time saying the word "tampons." And they all like to laugh and say.."Oh that must be a woman thing." When I go out with my friends it is deemed "girl's night out," which I hate. But when he goes out "he's hanging out with his friends." How come women don't go "Oh it must be boys night out."
I hate how men freak out over a tube of lipstick, and look at it like they don't know what it is. It's like they all assume that we stick everything up our vaginas. Every time they see anything in the form of a tube they look at it like it's an alien.
Does anyone know what I'm talking about?
It's very unattractive of men, shame shame.
Of course I realize that ALL men are not like this. Sorry to offend. But you guys know what I mean, just the general man's man. They don't want to be known as the guy that knows the difference between mascara and eyeliner. Some men seem to act stupid purposely whenever they are faced with an issue that a woman has. They call her "my old lady." My husband isn't completely like that but he didn't know what it meant when women say "i'm going to go put my face.on." I never say cliche stuff like that but he heard it on a movie and thought that it meant an old timey face mask. I had to explain that it just means makeup. It just annoys me whenever men don't know simple things. It's not like I'm that girly anyway, but geez, its pretty annoying whenever your man sees a thing of blush and goes..."uh, you left your uh...your lipstick on the table." I mean, i know the difference between boxers and briefs, between hair gel and jock itch cream. I know the different tools and different sports. ...bla

Question #10: What do you guys think about my skin care regimen?

Hi everyone.
Im a guy with with oily acne prone skin. I've developed a skin care routine and i wanna know what you guys, mainly girls, think. Is it too much or is it just fine?

Morning:
-cleanse
-Moisturize(spf 15)

Nights:
-Cleanse
-Tone
-Moisturize(no spf)

And also exfoliate once or twice per week.
And once a week, at night, I give my self a facial.
Which consists of:
-cleansing
-exfoliating
-a homemade facial mask made from natural ingredients.
-and moisturizing

So is it too much, or does it sound good?
I've also heard some serums are good for oily skin, would you recommend it?
